Privacy

Short, because there is not much to say.

This is a small product handling coursework. The privacy position is mostly a list of things it does not do.

What is never asked for

  • Your Google, Microsoft or university account
  • Access to your email, Drive or calendar
  • Your LMS username or password
  • A phone number, a real name, or a student ID
  • Payment card details — those go to Paddle, our payment reseller, never here

What is stored, if you make an account

  • Your email address, used to sign you in and send the reminders you asked for
  • Your classes, assignments and notes
  • A change history, so edits and imports can be undone
  • Your timezone, so reminders land at the right hour
  • Counts of a handful of product events — imports completed, exports taken
  • Where you first arrived from — a link’s campaign tag or the referring site’s domain, never the full address

Details

Without an account

Your plan is held in your browser’s local storage and is not transmitted anywhere. Clearing site data deletes it and there is no copy on our side to recover it from. The visit itself is still counted — see Analytics below — but what you put in the tracker is not part of that and never leaves your browser.

Analytics

Two things, and it is worth being precise about which is which. Product events — a tracker opened, an import completed, an export taken — are recorded here, on our own database, and are what decides whether this product is worth continuing. Separately, Google Analytics counts page visits across the site so we can see which channel people arrive from. It sets cookies and it is Google, so treat it as you would on any other site; a browser set to block it will block it, and nothing on this site stops working if you do. Ahrefs Web Analytics also counts page visits, without cookies, so traffic can be read next to search data. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors scroll and click on the public pages, as heatmaps and replays, so we can see where a page loses people. It sets cookies too. It never runs inside your signed-in plan, and the tracker on the public pages is masked in its recordings, so what you type there shows only as blocks.

What Google, Ahrefs and Microsoft do not get: your classes, your assignments, your notes, your email address, or anything you type. Page addresses here are fixed words like Settings and Your plan — coursework never appears in one. There is no advertising pixel.

Email

Sign-in links and the reminders you turn on. No marketing sequence, no newsletter you did not ask for. Every reminder carries an unsubscribe link that works without signing in.

Payments

If you buy the paid plan, Paddle.com processes the payment as merchant of record. Paddle collects your card details, billing country and email under its own privacy policy. We receive only what we need to switch the plan on and off: a customer and subscription reference, the plan status and the renewal date.

Age

StudyRows is for students aged 18 and over, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has an account, email reply@studyrows.com and we will delete it.

Deletion

Deleting your account removes your assignments, courses, history and email address. Export first — the CSV and calendar export are free and take one click.

Your work is not published

Nothing in a private plan is indexed, shown publicly or used as example content. The sample semesters on this site are synthetic and labelled as such.
