Terms of service

1. Who can use StudyRows

StudyRows is built for university and college students. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, with or without an account. If you are younger, please don’t use the site. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.

2. The service

StudyRows is an assignment tracker. The tracker, its views, imports with a change preview, undoing your most recent import, and CSV and calendar exports are free. The optional Automation plan adds scheduled email reminders, a live calendar feed that puts deadlines on your phone, and restoring from change history. The pricing page lists exactly what each includes.

StudyRows helps you keep track of deadlines; it does not replace your course syllabus, your learning platform or your instructor’s instructions. Check important dates at the source. Reminder emails can be delayed or filtered by your email provider, so don’t rely on them as your only reminder.

3. Your account and your content

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, so keep access to that inbox secure. What you put into StudyRows stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to store it, show it to you and send the reminders you ask for. We don’t publish it or use it as example content. The privacy page explains what we store.

Don’t use StudyRows to break the law, to store other people’s personal data without their permission, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

4. The beta

While payments are being set up, Automation is free for every account. When the paid plan opens, we will email everyone who used Automation during the beta at least 30 days before their free access ends. Nobody is charged unless they go through checkout themselves.

5. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. The Automation plan costs US$5 a month, plus any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, shown at checkout. It renews monthly until you cancel.

6. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel from Settings at any time. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for and then stops renewing. Cancelling never deletes your assignments, and exports stay free. If you ask within 30 days of a charge, we refund it in full. See the refund policy.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings. That removes your assignments, courses, history, reminder schedules and email address. Deleting the account doesn’t cancel a paid plan by itself, so cancel first. We may close an account that has been inactive for a long time, after emailing you first.

8. Changes and availability

StudyRows is a small product and may change or shut down. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before ending the service, time for you to export everything. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. We don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, StudyRows is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country you live in.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without removing any protection your own country’s law gives you as a consumer. For questions, email reply@studyrows.com.
